Ensure no young person is left out

No Young Person Left Out

No young person should be left without support when facing homelessness. Join our campaign to ensure there’s No Young Person Left Out.

Campaign with us

Over 118,000 young people faced homelessness last year. Thousands went to their local council seeking support, however one-third of young people facing homelessness in England did not receive an assessment - let alone the support they may have needed.

Local councils are under huge financial strain, lacking the millions they need to respond to the growing homelessness crisis, leaving them with little resources and capacity.

Youth homelessness is increasing and, without more funding and support from the government, the situation is likely to deteriorate further.

Young people facing homelessness are being forgotten, turned away, or ignored. However, we aren’t willing to see more young people left out.

We are urgently asking the Government to increase funding for local authorities so that no young person is left without the support they need from their local council.

Campaign with us to make sure No Young Person Is Left Out when facing homelessness.

Every year, thousands of young people are left to face homelessness alone without the support they need. Since last year, youth homelessness has increased by 10% - meaning 1 in every 62 young people face homelessness.

We need as many people as possible to tell the UK Government that no young person should be left out from the support they deserve. Join us as we call on the UK Government for:

  • Ring-fenced funding from central government to give councils the resources they need to support young people facing homelessness.
  • Rewriting the Homelessness Code of Guidance so it includes a section on young people.
  • The government to make sure councils follow the Homelessness Reduction Act – and act when they do not.
