Charitable trusts, foundations and statutory funders

A charitable gift is an amazing way to create a lasting, positive impact on the futures of young people.

Centrepoint’s work is made possible in part by our existing trust, foundation, and statutory funders who support us through donations and multi-year grants.

By partnering with us – sharing knowledge, expertise and resources – you can help to end youth homelessness by 2037.

Our funding needs

We welcome both restricted and unrestricted gifts.

An unrestricted gift allows Centrepoint to use your donation where and when it is most needed. It ensures young people have the support they need - from arriving at our doors to stepping into their own -  not just to survive homelessness, but thrive beyond it.

You can also make an impact by restricting your gift to one of our services, including housingeducation and employment, and homelessness prevention.

Please contact the Trust and Statutory team at truststatutoryfundraising@centrepoint.org to discuss your interests and needs. We would love to hear from you.

Your Impact

There are many ways that your gift could drive real impact:
  • Icon of a frying pan cooking
    £6,000

could provide 50 homeless young people arriving at our accommodation with essential starter packs, ensuring they have fresh bedding, towels, toiletries, cooking equipment and clothing.

  • Icon of heart being held in hands
    £40,000

could fund a full course of counselling for 40 young people, ensuring those experiencing a mental health crisis receive the vital support they need.

  • Icon of a house
    £125,000

could help fund a new home for a young person looking to transition to the next stage of their life, as part of our next Independent Living development.

Our latest Annual Report highlights how we made a transformational impact last year.

Strategic partnerships – creating lasting change

A strategic partnership is for funders seeking to make a truly transformative gift that drives lasting change within Centrepoint and beyond.

The Garfield Weston Foundation has donated £300,000 to Centrepoint’s Upstream England — our innovative schools-based prevention programme identifying and supporting 11–16-year-olds at hidden risk of homelessness. This generous gift will fund family mediation for 750 young people and help us drive systemic change by expanding partnerships across England to break the cycle of homelessness.

Centrepoint’s Upstream England project follows in the footsteps of Llamau’s Upstream Cymru. The Upstream survey was created by Llamau and Cardiff University and was itself modelled on the successful approach of the Australian Geelong Project, which reduced youth homelessness by 40%.
