What benefits can I claim if I’m homeless?
When you are homeless, you are entitled to certain benefits, such as Universal Credit. There are lots of different benefits and it can feel daunting to apply for them, but it’s worth it and you can get support to fill in the forms.
You can receive benefits even if you are homeless and have no fixed address or bank account.
I need help with my finances
It can be very stressful when you have money problems. You might feel overwhelmed and like you can’t face what’s going on. But it’s really important not to ignore debt as there will be a way to figure out what you can do next.
Here, you’ll find guidance on what help is available, plus support with everything from how to budget to setting up a bank account when you don’t have an address.
Knowing your rights and getting legal help
It can be hard to reach out for legal help when you are homeless or are at risk of homelessness and are already feeling vulnerable. Thankfully, non-judgemental support is available.
The Centrepoint Helpline can’t give legal advice but can connect you to services that do offer this.
