Help us find their way out

Young people's first steps into the adult world should be full of excitement for their future.

But with 540,000 being unemployed at the start of 2024*, too many have found themselves stuck in a vicious cycle of unemployment and homelessness.

You can help a young person find their way out of homelessness through vital education and employment support, allowing them to finally take their place in the world.

Sam's Story

Arriving at Centrepoint, homeless at the age of 22, Sam had no confidence in himself or his future prospects. He felt like his life was already ruined. But eight months later, Sam is a different person.

At Centrepoint, he benefited from psychotherapy to help him manage his emotions, and feel more confident in himself. Our employability trainer helped Sam identify his goal to be a painter and decorator and supported him to gain his certification, proving he’s been fully trained for his chosen career. Now, he’s not only ready for work, he’s looking forward to his future.

Sam's progress is truly inspiring - but more young people still need the tailored support that helped him turn his life around.
