Help us find their way out

Young people's first steps into the adult world should be full of excitement for their future.

But with 540,000 being unemployed at the start of 2024*, too many have found themselves stuck in a vicious cycle of unemployment and homelessness.

You can help a young person find their way out of homelessness through vital education and employment support, allowing them to finally take their place in the world.

Ash's Story

Ash, who is non-binary, had a difficult relationship with their mother. Aged just 16, before even sitting their A-level exams, Ash was kicked out of home. At crisis point, their dreams of studying Criminology at university were at risk.

Centrepoint leapt into action, arranging them emergency accommodation. With some stability finally in place, attention quickly turned to ensuring Ash's future wasn't ruined by this troubling time. Our Lifewise programme gave them the skills to live independently long-term, and a Bursary ensured that essential studying equipment (including a laptop) was within reach.

We were so proud when Ash achieved three As, securing their dream place at university! But more young people still need the tailored support that helped them turn their life around.
