Centrepoint Ambassador Mica Paris MBE has never shied away from meeting our impressive rising stars, since she joined us this year. She says: "I'm thrilled to be an Ambassador for Centrepoint. I'm a mother and can't bear thinking about my children being homeless at a young age."
Mica congratulated our wonderful award winners at the annual Centrepoint Awards this winter. Long standing Centrepoint Ambassador Lisa Maxwell was also in attendance.
Amongst the award winners was Cameron from Barnsley who claimed the 2021 Career Progression Award for his remarkable resilience during a challenging time. Cameron works as a sous chef and had to kick off his career during a tumultuous time. Ever humble, Cameron was shocked to win the award and meet Mica, saying: “To be honest, we’re a team. I wouldn’t be winning this award if it wasn’t for my keyworkers supporting me to achieve my goals.”
