At London’s Lyric Theatre, Lisa Maxwell led the musical show of everyone’s dreams, in celebration of the 100th anniversary of Judy Garland’s birth. Our long serving ambassador Lisa Maxwell led the charge by grouping all of her musical contacts together and putting on a show you could never forget ‘Judy: No Place Like Home’.
Lisa learned about Judy’s experiences with homelessness, her struggles with mental health, and her unique connection with the LGBTQ+ community whilst playing Judy in Paul Taylor-Mills’ production of Peter Quilter’s award-winning play ‘End Of The Rainbow’.
‘Judy: No Place Like Home’ featured an all-star cast including Lisa herself, Bonnie Langford, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Jessica Hynes, Rosie Jones, Matt Goss, Frances Ruffle, Nate James, Tom Read Wilson and more showbiz stars. The night featured musical, spoken and video performances in celebration of Judy’s life.
The extra special guests on the night were three of young musical maestros who have all been supported by the charity and performed with the show’s creator Lisa Maxwell.
