Long-standing Centrepoint supporter and champion of young people, Lord Mark Petterson has been elevated to the House of Lords and took his seat on 22 October 2026.
Mark Petterson, the co-founder and director of Warwick Energy Limited, first began his support of Centrepoint as a teenager and has continued to stand with us ever since.
Mark and his wife, Lady Petterson, were the first philanthropists to back our Independent Living Programme (ILP), sponsoring our very first homes in the programme in South East London. Petterson Haberdasher House was officially opened in November 2019, offering safety, stability and opportunity for the young people who live there.
Mark now sits as a member of our Independent Living Programme Growth Board, contributing his expertise to offer even more young people effective, sustainable routes into a job, career and a home. His time, knowledge, leadership and generosity continues to help us ensure that every young person has a safe place to call home and the chance to thrive.
Seyi Obakin OBE, our Chief Executive said, "On behalf of everyone at Centrepoint, I would like to offer Mark our warmest congratulations on this well-deserved recognition.
Mark has been with us since he was a teenager, and his commitment to our young people has only deepened over the years. He and Lady Petterson were the first to believe in the Independent Living Programme, and their vision has helped hundreds of young people move from crisis to a home, a job and a future.
“We are enormously proud and grateful, and we know Lord Petterson will continue to be a powerful voice for young people."
