A global audience tuned in to watch over 30 of The Bill cast members reunite for online event 'The Bill - Legends Under House Arrest' to raise money for Centrepoint.

Our trusty long-standing ambassador Lisa Maxwell (DI Samantha Nixon) led the cohort and called on former cast members including Graham Cole OBE (PC Tony Stamp), Mark Wingett (DC Jim Carver), Scott Maslen (Sgt. Phil Hunter), Trudie Goodwin (Sgt. June Ackland). The  legend and comedian, TV presenter and radio host Paul O’Grady, who played Roxanne (an informant of DS Ted Roach - Tony Scanneli) in three episodes of The Bill, also joined the cast as a special guest.

Cast members reminisced about their time on set, while the audience were treated to Q&As with the cast, a script reading session from Lisa Maxwell and an interview with Paul O'Grady.

Paul O’Grady spoke about the importance of his character Roxanne’s presence in the 90’s. He said,

“She was on the game. Mixed up with the wrong kind. But, my character was extremely progressive and rare for the time, as Roxanne was trans and it was hinted she had a fling with DS Ted Roach.

“Everyone on the show was smashing. It was such a lovely job and it’s lovely to see everyone again now.”
