On the evening of Friday 22 March 2024 join us at the London Walk, organised by our friends the London Homeless Collective. This walk brings charities working in homelessness in the city together to walk as one, with every step powering the journey towards brighter tomorrows.
There will be three routes available; a 10K, half marathon and marathon through Central London.
Starting and finishing at The Connection St Martin’s in-the-Fields in Trafalgar Square, walking through the night offers an opportunity for reflection on the experience of people who are homeless - not just people who are forced to sleep on the streets, but those who walk through the night, travel on night buses or access 24 hour retail sites in order to stay awake and stay safe. In particular young people, trans people and women, who are all especially vulnerable to violence and exploitation.
The walk is currently due to start at 8pm and the estimated finishing times for each distance are:
10k – 11.00pm
Half marathon – 1.00am
Marathon – 5.00am
Please plan your transport home prior to attending the event. We are close to major transport links. Currently night tubes are running and there are several hotels nearby.
Places cost £25 and have a minimum sponsorship of £150 (10k), £250 (half marathon) or £350 (marathon).
