Welcome to our Chapman Street page, where you can find out about our proposals for 34 new genuinely affordable homes on unused land in Chapman Street, Gorton, Manchester.
We recently announce our plans which are part of our ground breaking Independent Living Programme. This innovative initiative is designed to provide secure, independent living homes for employed young people aged 18 to 25, with rent contributions at just one-third of their gross annual salary.
We held a drop-in public consultation exhibition at Gorton Hub Atrium, on 11th December 2025, where members of our project team were available to talk through the plans, share more details and answer questions on the proposals for the site. A copy of the banners displayed at the exhibition can still be viewed below.
We would like to thank everyone who came along and who gave us feedback, either at the exhibition or during the period of public consultation which ran to 6th January 2026, and is now closed.
FEEDBACK AND NEXT STEPS
We are now reviewing all feedback received during the period of public consultation and are finalising our plans, ahead of submitting a planning application to Manchester City Council.
