Every night sleeping rough puts young lives in danger. Will you help give homeless young people a safe choice this Christmas?

Tonight, and every night this winter, homeless young people will be making impossible choices.

They’ll be out on their own, deciding if a park bench is safer than a bus shelter. If a doorway is better than a stranger’s sofa. Or if it’s even safe to sleep at all. The fact is, there are no safe places, and no safe choices, for young people on the streets.

Sadly, the number of young people sleeping rough has risen by 13%*. Your support this Christmas is vital to ensure young people can find safety with Centrepoint.

Sam's Story

When Sam was a teenager, his relationship with his mum broke down. Sam is autistic, hard of hearing and has OCD, and his family did not have the support they needed. After spending a night in unsuitable emergency accommodation, Sam found himself sleeping rough. Remembering a friend's advice, he called the Centrepoint Helpline, who stayed with him on the phone, arranged a taxi and welcomed him with warmth and kindness. For the first time in months, Sam felt safe.

With his Key Worker Celina by his side, Sam received urgent mental health support and a stable home. Now, he’s thriving: managing his own money, opening a bank account, and rebuilding his family relationships.

More young people like Sam will be sleeping rough this winter through no fault of their own. Will you help this Christmas?
