Then you know that every year, thousands of young people face homelessness.

Being homeless is scary for anyone. For a young person at Christmas it's terrifying.

1 in 60 young people in the UK were estimated to be facing homelessness in 2024-2025.

When the weight of homelessness is too much to carry, will you sponsor a room for a young person this Christmas? Your kindness could give a young person a stable home, often for the first time, and the chance to get back on their feet.

Instead of carrying the weight of where they’ll sleep or what they’ll eat this Christmas, they can start putting their lives back together, safe in the knowledge that we’ll be there for as long as they need us.

Ben in his room at Centrepoint

Ben's Story

At 16, Ben was carrying a lot. He was struggling with his mental health and moved to supported housing. As Ben was so young, this wasn't suitable for him. He recalls, "There were 25 year-olds asking me for money to buy drugs. At that age you're vulnerable to people who are older, you look up to them."

Ben’s mental health deteriorated, and he spent six months in hospital. When he was discharged, his care co-ordinator referred him to Centrepoint. We gave Ben a safe place to call his own, and the support he needed to get back on his feet. Ben is now studying music production, and last winter, he performed to over 200 people.
