Help build the homes young people need to move on from homelessness
Our target is £50m to build 300 homes.
We have raised £23m so far, leaving £27m still needed to deliver all 300 homes and prove this model can be scaled nationally.
To expand the programme, we rely on support from generous donors, partners and organisations who want to help tackle youth homelessness in a lasting way.
On this page you'll find: Ways to Support, Why Support Matters, Introducing Reuben House, Meet the Growth Board and Thank You to Our Supporters.
Ways to Support
We’re looking for partners to help us achieve our ambitious aims. There are many ways you can get involved in the programme and help us break the cycle of youth homelessness.
Major gifts and philanthropy
Significant gifts help unlock new developments.
Trusts and foundations
Grant funding supports new schemes and long-term impact.
Corporate partnerships
Companies can support through funding, expertise or collaboration.
Public donations
Every contribution helps expand the number of homes available.
We are also looking for:
- Land and properties - vacant sites or buildings we can develop into homes
- Employment partners - young people must be in work to access Independent Living
- Pro bono support - particularly architectural design, planning law and contract administration
Whether through funding, property partnerships or collaboration, support plays a vital role in helping more young people move forward.

Why Support Matters
The biggest barrier to expanding Independent Living is the shortage of affordable homes young people can access.
Funding allows Centrepoint to:
- secure new properties
- refurbish or build homes
- develop new schemes with partners
- create a model for lasting change
Every home created supports many young people over its lifetime.
Get in touch
If you’d like to support the programme or discuss partnership opportunities, we’d love to hear from you.
Introducing Reuben House
In June 2023, our Patron HRH The Prince of Wales opened Reuben House, our flagship development of 33 studio homes in Peckham, South London.
The development was supported by The Reuben Foundation, which donated over £1 million to the project.
“Before Independent Living, I didn’t feel safe. I was in a hostel and struggling. Now I have a flat of my own, I'm doing a housing apprenticeship, and I've saved money for the first time in my life.” Yasmina, current resident
“This is the most exciting and innovative programme I've worked on in 25 years… we have given these young people the key to their very own front door.” Sally Orlopp, Director of Independent Living
“Reuben House represents the beginning of a movement to amplify Independent Living nationally as a solution to ending youth homelessness.”
Debra Reuben, The Reuben Foundation
Meet the Growth Board
