building confidence on and off the pitch

Being fit and healthy is important, but sport has the power to do so much more. We give young people the practical tools and necessary confidence to positively transform their own situation.

Following his dreams

Reece was in foster care from a young age and couldn't see his family. “I became extremely unhealthy... I deteriorated rapidly mentally, physically and educationally,” he says. By 16 he was sofa surfing. Reece was later put in touch with the Arsenal Foundation Programme at Centrepoint which focused on personal development. It also gave him the opportunity to represent England in the Homeless World Cup. Reece now aims to become a qualified coach and help other young people’s lives in the same way Centrepoint helped him.
