PAINTING WALLS FOR #THE22000

Our artists all worked tirelessly to represent #THE22000, painting walls with their art across London.

CP Zabou Portrait

Meet the artist - Zabou

Zabou is a French street artist based in London, who paints huge portraits which capture the spirit and emotion of her subjects. She has amassed thousands of followers on social media, worked all over the world and has exhibited work at the Saatchi Gallery several times. We love her work – and what she did with the project, painting a large portrait of Becca, a young person who went from being homeless to representing England in the Homeless World Cup. Her art can be found in Gaskin Street, Islington N1.

MEET THE ARTIST - JEBA

Jeba is a London-born-and-raised graffiti artist and graphic designer, who has been painting walls since his teenage years. His work combines old school hip hop, graphic design and animation into pieces that have an energy of their own.  Now based in Barcelona, Jeba maintains a love for his home-town, London and is passionate about helping young people in London and across the UK. We love his colourful and eye-catching graffiti art, incorporating our campaign silhouette, which he painted in Mile End Skatepark.

MEET THE ARTIST - BULLET ON A STRING

Bec Dennison, AKA Bullet on a String is a Melbourne-born, London-based artist, illustrator and graphic designer. She works all across the UK on design projects, as well as creating bespoke murals and her own artwork. She has worked with brands such as New Look and Diesel UK, and we are very lucky to be the latest organisation to collaborate with her. Her work on this project blew us away – capturing the loneliness and loss of self-esteem that homeless young people can feel. Her work was painted in Waterloo, on Leake Street.

Why graffiti?

We know that too often the voices of young people don’t make the headlines. We chose to collaborate with artists with a passion for our work, on sites across London, to cut through the noise and make sure #THE22000 are heard.
