Music Facilitator (Westminster)

Time Commitment: One day per week (weekdays only) for up to three months

You will be supporting the HOMES Activities team in their delivery of a new music programme within our Westminster service. The HOMES Activities team puts on a range of activities for our young people throughout their time at Centrepoint.

We opened the Christopher Andrew Music Suite to offer young people on the Westminster pathway the opportunity to access music, and you will be helping to facilitate a new project creating a music programme for young people.

Role summary

  • Represent the activities team and liaise with onsite staff
  • Facilitate the delivery of music sessions
  • Enable young people to engage in creative music sessions
  • Delivery of music based activities alongside other volunteers and sessional staff
  • Support the setting up and clearing down of resources/materials before and after each session

Role requirements


  • Strong music playing/music production skills
  • To be consistent and reliable
  • Have a positive attitude
  • Appreciate and adhere to the requirements of completing paperwork and recording hours in a timely manner
  • Be responsive and accountable to the Volunteering team and Centrepoint


  • Experience of working with hard to reach young people
  • Understanding of the issues – practical and emotional – facing young people
  • A commitment to demonstrating Centrepoint’s values

  • Structured induction and training
  • Ongoing support and supervision from the volunteering team
  • Ongoing support and supervision from your supervisor
  • Refresher training and regular peer support sessions
  • Travel and other reasonable expenses reimbursed
