Before coming to Centrepoint, Talisha had been in and out of hostels since the age of 16. “I was kicked out of home before that but I was sofa surfing between London and my auntie’s in Essex because I couldn’t go back to my mum’s,” she says. Not having a fixed address meant Talisha was unable to find a job, making her situation even worse. But things improved for Talisha after she joined Centrepoint Sport. She took part in our Training Centre with Arsenal, which opened the door to other personal development and sporting opportunities. She's represented her country for Street Football Team England and is now looking for work in the construction sector.
