Winter update 2018
This edition of Your Impact focuses on the power of conversations. These discussions affect every aspect of our lives and are a way of sharing with others our thoughts and feelings on all manner of subjects. At Centrepoint, our conversations with young people, and with you, our supporters, are vital in helping us deliver the best possible service for homeless young people.
You have helped so many young people – your support is everything. So we want to find out a little more about your views. Please take a few minutes to complete your Supporter Survey.
At Christmas, we ran our Safe at Christmas Appeal. And thanks to your amazing support it's been a huge success! You raised a fantastic £505,181, and we couldn't be more grateful.
A warm Centrepoint welcome to a new supporter, Shirley McDonald. Shirley started supporting Centrepoint to help young people in a situation she once found herself in.
City of London School for Boys stunned us all with their immense fundraising efforts in 2017. They raised a brilliant £78,079 through their year-long charity partnership.
In May this year the data protection law is changing and we will need your permission to contact you. Without it we could lose touch, and we won’t be able to let you know about all the fantastic work your support is making possible.
In partnership with the NHS, this year we will be taking strides to improve young people's mental health. We're running training programmes to give staff with the skills they need to best support young people with mental health issues.
Without good mental health, it is extremely difficult for our young people to retain a job and a home. Having left foster care at 17, Carly struggled with mental health problems that prevented her from becoming independent.
Ladles at the ready! We're soup-er excited to launch our new competition to find the nation's tastiest homemade soup recipe. The lucky winner will have their delicious recipe produced by Yorkshire Provender.
